Studio Policies and Procedures

Tuition Policy:

Enrollment in the school consists of four 8 week sessions. Tuition is payable before the session begins. Students with outstanding accounts will not be admitted to class. We accept Visa or Mastercard. There will be a $20.00 return check fee payment and a $10.00 late payment fee per month for outstanding tuitions.

Costume Deposits:

A costume deposit of $40.00 per costume, per dancer is required with your first tuition payment.  Final costume payments must be made in December.  All costumes are ordered over Holiday Break.  If  costume balances are not paid in full before holiday break, your child’s costume will not be ordered.

Dance Recital:

In May we will be having our annual dance recital.  This is a very exciting time for the girls to showcase everything that they have learned through out the year.  If your child is going to participate in our recital you are required to purchase a costume.  Tickets must also be purchased for the recital.  Ticket prices are $15.00 per adult and $10.00 for children under 8.  Children under the age of 3 are free, however they must sit on a parents lap.  If you require a seat for that child, a ticket is needed.  No strollers are allowed in the auditorium. 

E-Mail:

All About Dance has gone GREEN effective 09/15/09.  We do most of our communication ie: tuition statements, studio announcements,  through e-mail.  Please make sure that we have your latest e-mail address.

Vacations and Holidays:

All About Dance observes all legal holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and all regular school vacations.

Attendance

Attendance is very important. Classes are not transferable and there are no make-up classes for classes missed for any reason (unless accompanied by a Doctor’s letter). There is no refund for missed classes. In case of absence, please call the school and leave a message. Make-up classes will be available only if the All About Dance cancels the class.

Notices and Cancellations

Important school notices will be sent home with the students. Notices, cancellations, schedule changes will always be posted on the school bulletin and on the home page of our website. In case of BAD weather dance classes are canceled when NO SCHOOL announcements are made in Swampscott. Make-up classes will be posted in case of school closings.

Waiting Area:

Please do not bring food or drink into the waiting area or studio. This includes gum and candy. Please make sure your children do their part in making this possible. Sibling must be supervised at all times. Please make sure NO child waiting for a dancer sits on the wood platform leading to the studio. Children may bang the studio doors, which distracts the dancers.

Studio Rental:

Rental fee for the studio is $50.00 per hour.

Smoking:

Smoking is not permitted in the studio or outside on the deck. THANK YOU!
